Open every Saturday 10.30 to 5.30.

Whether you’re popping in to buy some wine or have pre-booked a vineyard tour and tutored tasting, we’re keen to share our enthusiasm for Chartham Vineyard and its special location.

Located close to Chartham BR station and conveniently positioned on the Great Stour Way, just 3 miles outside Canterbury, we're easy to get to on on foot and bicycle as well as by train, bus and road with plenty of free parking in our farmyard.

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome; and if you have mobility restrictions, please contact us in advance so we can advise and make necessary arrangements.

celebrate with Rose de Noir from chartham vineyard

You are welcome to pop in any Saturday, from 10.30 to 5.30 and:

  • Enjoy a free wine tasting in our Wine Shop, which also sells a small selection of gifts in addition to our wine.
  • Wander past our ancient barn and dovecote to our Demonstration Vineyard (sorry - but guided tours of the main vineyard must be pre-booked).
  • View the art in our tasting room which doubles a free Art gallery. We expect to hold 3-4 art shows a year (Christmas, Spring, Summer and Autumn) as well as displaying artworks by family and friends at other times. Many works are available to buy.
Our Wine Shop is normally staffed by the owners, family members or trained staff who will be happy to answer questions and tell you About our story.

Alternatively, you can buy our wine online at any time.

The tour of our Vineyard takes about an hour and is normally led by co-owners Roz and Richard, vineyard manager Andy or one of our trained staff.

Afterwards you can enjoy a tutored tasting of our wines in our farmyard Wine Shop.

  • All vineyard tours must be booked in advance – please contact us
  • Groups of between 5 and 15 people
  • Cost £12.50 a head, including tastings
  • Children are welcome, free of charge (soft drinks included).
Please note, the main vineyard is quite hilly so the terrain may not be suitable for those with health or disability issues. Please ask us for guidance, when enquiring or booking.

Our grape harvest takes place towards the end of September-early October, each year.

If you would like to join our small team of volunteer grape pickers, please contact us.

Towards the end of October we lay on a post-harvest supper in our old Kent Barn at Burnt House Farm, to thank volunteers for their support.
